Sites¶
The Bratislava implementation testbed will use selected urban tree sites representing different real-world monitoring situations, including street trees, park trees, tree groups, complex crowns, vegetation near buildings, and locations with direct management relevance.
The map below shows the current site planning layer for the hackathon.
What we aim to capture¶
Street trees
Trees along roads and pavements, including narrow spaces, parked cars, buildings, traffic, and other common urban constraints.
Park trees
Open-grown trees and park settings where crown structure, canopy form, and full-tree geometry can be assessed more clearly.
Complex vegetation
Tree groups, understory, shrubs, overlapping crowns, and situations where segmentation and tree matching become more difficult.
Management relevance
Sites selected not only for technical interest, but also for their relevance to practical urban tree monitoring and future implementation.
